Research Summary

I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Classics at McMaster University. I completed my BA at the University of Alberta in Anthropology and Classical Studies, and my MA in Classical Archaeology at Brock University. I have been doing archaeological field work in Greece since 2013, working mostly with the Kastro Kallithea Archaeological Project (KKAP) and the Central Achaia Pthiotis Regional Survey Project (CAPS).

My personal research interests focus on understanding the development of urbanism in the Mediterranean using archaeological evidence, mostly between the Archaic and Hellenistic periods (~800 – 200 BCE).

My dissertation focuses on how the interactions of Hellenistic rulers and local civic governments changed the landscape in Thessaly, a region of Northern Greece.
